Tony Saliba
Co-founder, CertiVere · Founder and CEO, Liquid Mercury
Tony has spent more than four decades building markets and the businesses that serve them. He started in 1979 on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, was elected to the CBOE Board of Directors in 1987, and later served on the board of the Chicago Stock Exchange. He is the only options trader profiled in Jack Schwager's classic book Market Wizards.
From the trading floor, Tony went on to build the firms that train, connect and serve today's options markets. He founded International Trading Institute, which created the first options trading simulator and has trained traders in more than 22 countries. He then built LiquidPoint into an options execution and technology firm, which ConvergEx Group acquired in 2007. Along the way he co-founded Efficient Capital Management and founded Matrix Holding Group and Fortify Technologies. In 2019 the industry recognized his career with the U.S. Options Lifetime Contribution Award. Tony has also written several books on trading, including Managing Expectations.
Today he leads Liquid Mercury, the Chicago-based institutional digital asset infrastructure company whose technology powers CertiVere. He holds a BS in Accounting from Indiana University and serves on the boards of several foundations.
